About the Virtual Internship:
Desh-Videsh Media Group is an excellent place to learn the basics of journalism hands-on through a wide range of projects related to the timely publishing of community and national news. Our team ensures one to one mentoring of each intern over the course of the internship. Interns have an opportunity to learn more about print and digital journalism through a series of robust assighments.
Through this internship is virtual (allowing work from home and flexible hours), the program demands a disciplined commitment of your time.
Selected interns will work on the following during the internship:
- News selection
- News reporting
- Write original stories
- Upload stories from wire services
- Rewrite stories from wire services
- Learn finer details of SEO, SMO and use that to maximize social media enhancement of the content
Duration of internship: Three months to Six Months
Stipend: None
Number of Internships available: Five
Who can apply: Undergraduate and postgraduate students
Applicants should:
- Demonstrate a good command of the English language, both grammatically and stylistically
- Maintain a working knowledge of current affairs
- Be willing to work hard and show initiative
