Veer Bal Diwas Celebrated in Dubai: IMF Honors Brave Young HeroesTo mark the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, the Indian Minorities Federation (IMF) held a significant event at the Guru Nanak Darbar Sikh Temple in Dubai, the UAE’s first Sikh Gurudwara. The event honored the enduring sacrifice of the Chhote Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the young sons of Guru Gobind Singh who displayed unparalleled courage at ages 7 and 9 in the face of tyranny. Their bravery continues to inspire generations of youth worldwide.

During the event, IMF presented the Veer Bal Diwas Bravery Awards to 15 exceptional children from various communities and religions within the Indian Diaspora, underscoring the unity and resilience that transcends cultural and religious boundaries. The awardees included 10 Hindu, 3 Sikh, 1 Muslim, and 1 Jain child. The recipients ranged from Taksh Jain to Sinjini Debnath, each recognized for their outstanding courage and contributions.

The event included an Ardaas prayer for peace and unity, a Kirtan performance in memory of the Chhote Sahibzadas, and a Langar served by IMF. Dignitaries present at the event included Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Parliament and Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Yatin Patel, Deputy Consul General, and Surender Singh Kandhari, Chairman of Guru Nanak Darbar Sikh Temple.

The Sikh community in Dubai expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for officially declaring Veer Bal Diwas in 2022, acknowledging the sacrifices of the Chhote Sahibzadas and reinforcing the values of unity, resilience, and the protection of Indian heritage.
