PM Narendra Modi to attend G7 Summit in Biarritz
Prime minister Narendra Modi will be visiting France to attend the G7 summit 2019 held in Biarritz. The Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed the news on Monday.
“Narendra Modi will be attending the summit as the “Biarritz Partner” on the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron and is expected to speak on the environment, climate, oceans and digital transformations.”
PM Modi will also hold meetings with President Macron and Prime Minister Edouard Philippe. He will have bilateral meetings with leaders of other countries on the sidelines of the summit. A meeting with America’s President Donald Trump is also scheduled.
During his visit to France, PM Modi will be addressing the Indian community present as well and also inaugurate the memorial for the Indian victims of the Air India crashes at Nid D’Aigle.
The G7 summit will be active on August 25 and 26 in the seaside resort of Biarritz. India will be giving its strong side yet again on the issues related to the nation’s economy, business relations and neighborhood impact as well. “The bilateral visit to France and the invitation to G7 Summit are in keeping with the tradition of strong and close partnership and high-level political contacts between India and France,” MEA said.
