Lights, Camera…Ghosts? Ayushmann’s ‘Thama’ Graveyard Shoot Revealed
Ayushmann Khurrana is pulling all-nighters as he completes another shooting schedule for his much-anticipated film, Thama. The supernatural comedy has generated significant buzz, particularly with speculation about a crossover within the Maddock Cinematic Universe.
Currently working late shifts, Ayushmann recently took to Instagram to offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the film’s night shoots. The dedicated cast and crew have been filming on an elaborate set in Mumbai, reflecting the movie’s ambitious scale. Adding to the excitement, reports suggest that Varun Dhawan, who played a werewolf in Bhediya, might make a special cameo in Thama. This potential crossover teases an electrifying face-off between his werewolf character and Ayushmann’s vampire, expanding the interconnected supernatural world of Maddock Films.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for his work on Munjya, Thama marks Ayushmann’s debut in the supernatural genre. The film also introduces Rashmika Mandanna to the Maddock horror-comedy universe, alongside a strong supporting cast featuring Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Producer Dinesh Vijan has been steadily expanding Maddock’s horror-comedy universe, starting with Stree, followed by Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. With Thama, the franchise aims to blend horror, humor, and fantasy elements while delivering a thrilling supernatural clash.
As filming progresses, fans eagerly await more sneak peeks from the set. The film is expected to hit theaters in October 2025, coinciding with Diwali, though the official release date is yet to be announced.
