Kashmir Unrest: Situation in the valley improves
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s appeal for calm, situation in Kashmir improve. no fresh reports of any untoward incidents yesterday. Health Ministry sends high level team of eye specialists from AIIMS to J&K.
The unrest that erupted in Jammu and kashmir, following gunning down of a dreaded terrorist Burhan Wani is gradually subsiding.
While the security forces have been dealing firmly with terrorists in the state, every effort is being made to see that no innocent person is faced with any kind of inconvenience.
As a precautionary measure curfew continues to be clamped in many parts of the valley including Kupwara and Pampore and the movement of people is restricted.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has appealed to the people not to fall prey to the machinations of those elements who want to disturb peace in the state.
Meanwhile, Health and Family Welfare Minister J P Nadda has sent a three member high level team of eye specialists from AIIMS, New Delhi to the Jammu and Kashmir to assist the State in providing medical care to the persons injured in the on-going law and order problem in the State.
The Health Minister has assured all support to the State in the matter.
