Indian-Americans Hold ‘Havan’ for PM Modi’s Re-election
Silicon Valley-based Indian-American technology professionals conducted a special ‘havan’ at a Hindu temple to seek divine blessings for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s victory in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Organized by the Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP), USA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, the ‘havan’ witnessed a significant turnout. The event aimed not only at performing a ritual but also at collectively invoking divine intervention to fulfill the desires of the majority of Indians and NRIs. The community united to pray for a resounding victory for the ruling BJP, led by Prime Minister Modi, in the upcoming parliamentary elections, echoing the widespread sentiment encapsulated by the slogan “Abki Baar, 400 Paar,” as highlighted by the OFBJP. This spiritual congregation symbolizes the profound faith in the democratic process and the aspirations for ongoing progress and governance reforms in India, as emphasized in a media release. Prime Minister Modi has set ambitious targets for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), aiming to secure over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, with the BJP alone eyeing 370-plus seats. The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, with the results slated for announcement on June 4.
