When Jacqueline Fernandez swayed to Madhuri Dixit’s iconic number Ek Do Teen from Tezaab, she was criticized on social media. The song was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, one of the background dancers in the original song. The song was filmed for Baaghi 2 directed by Ahmed Khan.

Tezaab director N Chandra called the dance “crass.” Khan explained that when they decided on the number, they were ready for the criticism. He added that the song “is an experiment… All feedback of such work cannot be positive.”

While N Chandra has slammed the new version, Saroj Khan, the choreographer of Madhuri’s song, refused to comment. However, Anil Kapoor who co-starred with Madhuri in Tezaab as well as Salman Khan showered their praise on Jacqueline Fernandez via Twitter.

Madhuri has not yet given her feedback on the new version of Ek Do Teen. Khan said that they bought the rights of the song and did it in a legal manner. “The intention behind recreating any song is to revisit the memory of some of the cult classics like this and keeping the new generation connect with it,” he said.

Baaghi 2 is scheduled to release on March 30 and stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani.

Aamir Khan is likely to work on a mega-budget movie series based on the Mahabharata. One of the most expensive films to be ever made, it will be along the lines of The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones in terms of  production value, tweeted Ramesh Bala, a movie tracker.

The film is to be shot on a budget of Rs.1000 crores will reportedly be co-produced by Mukesh Ambani. The actor is currently shooting for Thugs of Hindostan, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Khan.

In fact a few months ago, Fatima Sana Khan was seen reading The Mahabharata on one of her Instagram posts. However, she removed the post immediately following speculations of her role in the film.

There has been no official announcement of the mega budget film yet and Khan has not spoken about the film. While promoting his film Secret Superstar, the actor said that his dream project is to make the Mahabharata.

He added that his favorite character is Karna, but was not sure of playing the character due to his physique. Khan told that he may just settle for Krishna. “I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life,” he said.

Salman Khan has dropped the looks of his co-stars from Race 3. The film has been making news ever since it was announced by the actor. However, this time around the action flick is not being directed by Abbas-Mastan and doesn’t include Saif Ali Khan.

Race 3 is being directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Ramesh Taurani’s Tips Industries and Salman Khan Films. Apart from Bhaijan, the ensemble cast of the film include Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Freddy Daruwala.

While Khan plays the role of the suave Sikander, Daruwala plays a negative role as Rana and Fernandez plays Jessica with raw power. Bobby Deol is Khan’s main man, Daisy Shah plays Sanjana, while Saleem is the angry young man. And that’s not all. Anil Kapoor will be playing the role of Shamsher in the action thriller. Shooting for the action sequences has started in Abu Dhabi.

Salman Khan took to Twitter and shared Kapoor’s looks with his fans.

“Shamsher: Bhaiji Humre boss. #Race3 #Race3ThisEid @AnilKapoor @SKFilmsOfficial @TipsOfficial”, he tweeted.

Looks like Shamsher will cause a lot of trouble for the cast of Race 3, going by the poster. He will not reprise his role of Robert D’Costa aka R.D. the detective. The film is slated for Eid 2018 release.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are reportedly getting married in May in Geneva.

The actress and fashionista has never spoken about her personal life. However, if reports are to be believed, the couple is likely to tie the knot in a traditional Hindu wedding in May. Sonam and Anand have reportedly finalized Geneva as their wedding destination, which would be nothing short of a star-studded affair.

“The date and venue for the wedding have been locked and mass bookings for flights are presently underway. Her dad Anil Kapoor is personally making phone calls to invite guests,” said a source, speaking to Mumbai Mirror.

The source added that Anil Kapoor is reportedly making bulk bookings for the family and guests to fly to the city in Switzerland. The couple will reportedly get engaged before their wedding that will be attended only by close family and friends. Wedding functions will be spread over two days and include sangeet and mehendi.

Sonam’s beau Anand makes regular appearances on her Instagram. The Delhi-based businessman owns the multi-brand sneaker boutique Veg Non Veg and is also the CEO and founder of the apparel brand — Bhane.

Sonam is known as a fashionista and it is her love for fashion that probably brought Anand and Sonam close.

After Race 3, Salman Khan is impressed with the acting prowess of Bobby Deol and has recommended the latter for Kick 2. He has reportedly asked Sajid Nadiadwala to script a character for Bobby.

The actor is known to promote and mentor talent if he sees someone with potential. Since Bobby’s first innings didn’t go well, this time around looks like Salman is giving the former a helping hand.

Both Salman and Bobby are currently shooting for Race 3 in Abu Dhabi. Kick 2 is still in the script stage. However, Nadiadwala informed earlier that Kick 2 will hit theatres in Christmas 2019. He had also directed Salman Khan in Kick.

Meanwhile, Salman and Bobby will be seen dancing in the latter’s home production – Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se. The actor has danced with da-sons in the song sequence.

Kick is the story of Devi Lal (Salman), who gets a ‘kick’ by doing some odd things in life. He steals from the rich and gives it to the poor children to help them, which gives him immense pleasure.
