Aishwarya Celebrates 15 Years of Representing India at Cannes

It was a momentous occasion as L’Oréal Paris and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated significant milestones as they launched the Infallible Cannes 2016 Collection.

While L’Oréal Paris has completed 19 years of being a make-up partner to the most prestigious event in global cinema, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also celebrates 15 years of representing India at Festival De Cannes.

In an afternoon dedicated to glamour and style, the infallible Aishwarya Rai Bachchan unveiled her signature look for the grand event. L’Oréal Paris also announced that Aishwarya would be attending the event on May 13 and 14, while Sonam would be there May 15 and 16.

Rai Bachchan said, “It is an absolute privilege to represent L’Oréal Paris and India in particular, at a platform that honors world cinema and beauty in equal measure. 15 years with Cannes have gone by in a flash and the journey has been immensely humbling and beautiful. I’ve treasured every moment at Cannes and I’m ever so thankful to L’Oreal Paris, members of the Indian and World media, my well-wishers and my family for always making this such a memorable experience. I’m looking forward to now creating some Infallible moments at the French Riviera with my L’Oreal family of amazing make up technicians and my co-ambassadors.”

Te3n Features Three Brilliant Actors

Te3n is an upcoming Indian thriller movie directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and jointly produced by Sujoy Ghosh, Hyunwoo Thomas Kim, Suresh Nair, Sameer Rajendran and Gauri Sathe under the banners Reliance Entertainment, Endemol India, Cinemaa Pictures, Kross Pictures & Blue Water Motion Pictures. It features three brilliant actors of Indian cinema- the megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles. Shooting for the film was completed in early February and is now under post-production stage. Te3n is scheduled to release in mid-June.

The film has been hyped among audiences due to the presence of Big B, Vidya and Nawazuddin. The stars are renowned for their delightful acting and audiences love them. The film was supposed to hit screens on May 20, but later shifted to the next date, as Big B’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan next film is being released that date.

This is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has asked a director to postpone his movie’s release date. In 2010, he had got Shonali Bose’s Chittagong release date postponed to avoid clashing with his son Abhishek Bachchan’s film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

Now this thriller drama has slated to release just after a week than Akshay Kumar’s much awaited Housefull 3. It will not be easy for Te3n to start well at the box office, because Housefull 3 will not settle down before 2 weeks and the interesting thing is, Abhishek Bachchan is also in this laughter riot as one of the main leads.

White House Dinner Invite for Priyanka Chopra

Chopra has recently been climbing up international popularity charts with the American television show Quantico. As a testimony of her recent success wave, she received an invitation for the annual White House Correspondents Dinner, hosted by US President Barrack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The invitee list includes Hollywood’s biggest celebrities like Bradley Cooper, Jane Fonda, Lucy Liu and Gladys Knight. However, a source close to Priyanka revealed her uncertainty in attending the event due to her extremely packed shooting schedule for both Quantico and Baywatch, her Hollywood debut stint.
