BBC Asian Networks Punjabi hit squad free life events announced as part of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s greatest hits live show at the O2
The O2 has announced the full programme of activities due to take place before Pakistan’s most famous Qawwali singerUstad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan takes to the stage to perform his greatest hits live on Sunday 14 August at 7pm SHARP. Ahead of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s performance, BBC Asian Network DJs Punjabi Hit Squad will be on hand to entertain the crowds in the piazza from 4pm-6pm. Head down for free to be in with a chance to win prizes and see Punjabi Hit Squad live.
Rahat will be introduced by BBC Asian Network Presenter Noreen Khan who will welcome Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan onto the stage.
From 2pm, the piazza at The O2 will be hosting lots of free activity, including dance lessons from the renowned Bollywood Choreographer and Dance Entertainer Jay Kumar at 4pm and 5pm.
Throughout the day, the finest Asian street food will be on offer including; Kothu Kothu, serving up a little taste of Sri Lanka through one of its most loved street food dishes, Kothu Roti, Bun Kabab who will be dishing up traditional Pakistani Street food of bun kababs packed with different flavours and textures, and Asma Khan of Darjeeling Express who will be serving up a selection of quality home-cooked Indian food that will take you on a journey from Calcutta in the east of India to Hyderabad in the south.
Kingfisher Beer, the leading Indian beer the world over, and Mojito Lemon UK will also be on hand to serve up refreshments.
