Anupamaa’s Rupali Ganguly Wishes Her ‘Anuj’ a Happy Birthday
Gaurav Khanna’s (aka Anuj Kapadia’s) 40th birthday was celebrated on the set of the serial Anupamaa with great enthusiasm. Rupali Ganguly (aka Anupamaa Zaveri) wished her on-screen friend a very happy birthday and also called him the ‘National Crush’, considering the huge fan-following towards him and the chemistry between him and Rupali. Portraying the roles of two close friends in the serial, both Rupali and Gaurav share a good, close-knit bond in real life, too. Rupali took to her social media handle to wish her co-star Gaurav ‘happy birthday’ and thanked her for being a wonderful ‘Anuj’ to her character, Anupamaa. She also posted a beautiful picture of the two of them together.
Gaurav Khanna, who prefers to celebrate his birthday while working, recalled his birthday celebrations during childhood when his mother used to call his friends on his birthday. Hailing from Kanpur, Gaurav had to work hard and run the extra mile in order to achieve his desired success. The pandemic and the lockdown put him in the backseat. However, landing the role of Anuj Kapadia (or ‘AK’) in the serial Anupamaa has been a game-changer according to him. The huge popularity both of the serial and of his talent has made him immensely popular, increasing his fan-following to a great extent. That is the reason her co-star Rupali termed him the ‘National Crush’.
Anupamaa’s producer Rajan Shahi organized a surprise party for Gaurav. It was a fun-filled event, including a celebratory cutting of the birthday cake; and all the members of the cast enjoyed it. His co-stars, including Jaswir Kaur and Madalsa Chakraborty, took to their own social media handles too to share their well wishes.
