After 500 years, Ram Lalla…: Kangana Ranaut’s Ram Navami post
Celebrating Ram Navami, Kangana Ranaut, an actor turned BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, reflected on her visit to Ayodhya for Ram Lalla’s ceremonial enthronement. She shared a video of her visit to the grand Ram Temple’s opening on January 22. The video showcased the temple’s splendor and snippets of PM Narendra Modi’s address.
Kangana expressed joy that after 500 years, Ram Lalla was celebrating Ram Navami in his grand temple. PM Modi
conducted an 11-day ‘Anusthan’ before the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’, visiting Ram-related shrines across India. He
officiated as the Jajman, performing rituals alongside selected priests and seers.
Kangana’s nomination from Mandi adds intrigue to the electoral race, traditionally a Congress stronghold. She faces a tough opponent in Congress MLA Vikramaditya Singh, son of late CM Virbhadra Singh. Himachal’s four Lok Sabha seats, including Mandi, and six Assembly seats, will go to polls on June 1.
The BJP, aiming to repeat its 2019 sweep, eyes Mandi, historically a Virbhadra family stronghold. The seat, held
by Pratibha Devi Singh after a 2021 bye-election, follows the demise of BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma.
On the professional front, Kangana stars in ‘Emergency’, her debut solo directorial venture.
