Navaratri: Dance of Devotion,
Triumph of Light

By Daksh Parikh

Nine nights unfold in joyous hues,
Navaratri begins with sacred muse.
The air is alive with Raas and Garba beats,
Devotees circle, where faith and fervor meet.

In rhythmic steps, we honor the Divine,
Durga Maa’s strength in every line.
Dressed in colors bright and bold,
We dance the stories that ancestors told

With every swirl, with every spin,
We celebrate the power within.
The Goddess rides on lion’s grace,
Vanquishing darkness, lighting space.

But as the ninth night draws its close,
Another tale of triumph grows.
Dussehra dawns, the sky alight,
Rama stands, prepared to fight.

The demon Ravana falls that day,
Evil bows, swept away.
Good prevails, as arrows fly,
A promise kept beneath the sky.

In Garba’s joy and Rama’s might,
We celebrate the victory of light.
Navaratri and Dussehra remind us still,
That good will conquer, it always will.

Diwali:The light of love on every face

By Aditi Rao

In the heart of the night, a spark is born,
A flame that dances, bright as the dawn.
Diwali comes with a radiant glow,
A festival of lights where shadows bow.

From ancient times, the story is told,
Of Ram’s return, of courage bold.
The triumph of good, the fall of the night,
Evil succumbs to truth’s pure light.

Lamps of hope in every hand,
Flicker and shine across the land.
A path of peace, a prayer of grace,
The light of love on every face.

Bursting skies with colors fly,
As joy and laughter reach the sky.
Homes adorned with candles bright,
Banishing the dark, inviting light.

O festival grand, O night divine,
You remind us all that we must shine.
For in each heart a lamp can burn,
Guiding the way, as we return.

To kindness, truth, and love’s embrace,
To unity, transcending race.
On Diwali’s night, we all are one,
In the victory of light, the day is won.

Evil falls, and good prevails,
As light upon the earth regales.
May every Diwali fill the air,
With peace, prosperity, and love to share
