New Year Poem

In the world of dreams and wishes so bright,
A brand new year arrives, oh what a sight!
I’m just a kid of ten, but I can see,
The magic of the future, it’s for you and me.

Fireworks light up the midnight sky,
As the old year says a sweet goodbye.
I stay up late, with eyes so wide,
To welcome the new year with arms open wide.

With resolutions, I’ll fill my list,
To be a better friend, not to be missed.
To learn and grow, to laugh and play,
In the coming year, come what may.

I’ll chase my dreams with all my might,
And never give up, even in the darkest night.
For in this new year, I’ll surely find,
A world of adventure of every kind.

I’ll make new friends and keep the old,
In my heart, they’ll never grow cold.
With each passing day, I’ll spread some cheer,
In this brand new, bright and shiny year.

So here’s to the future, the unknown ahead,
With hope in our hearts, we’ll forge ahead.

On Dussehra day, we celebrate
The triumph of good over evil,
Of Lord Rama over Ravana,
Of light over darkness.

We burn effigies of Ravana,
And cheer as they go up in flames.
It’s a symbol of our victory over evil,
And our faith in the triumph of good.

We also celebrate Dussehra as a festival of victory,
Of good defeating evil.
It’s a time to come together with family and friends,
And enjoy delicious food and sweets.

Dussehra is a special time for everyone,
And it’s a festival that I love to celebrate.
