By now you must have figured out what we mean by a pre-wedding photo shoot – when soon-to-be-newlyweds select a location ahead of their wedding day with their chosen photographer. More and more couples opt for pre-wedding shoots and are willing to invest in it because of the various benefits attached. Read on to know why it has become a must:

1. Getting familiar with the photographer and the camera:
Pictures clicked at the wedding are going to last you a lifetime hence, you need to look your best! Apart from a great wedding outfit and the right makeup, it is imperative to be comfortable with the camera and the person behind it. The results are better when you’re relaxed in front of the camera. A nice chemistry can be worked up only if you trust the person clicking your pictures and give him/her a chance to identify your best angles. It acts as a trial and error session too, when you can let the photographer know what exactly you’re expecting.

2. Use photos in invitations:
If the pre-wedding shoot is scheduled way ahead in time, say two months before the wedding, then you can use the pictures for the invitations and save-the-date cards. It also gives you the chance to know if you have hired the right photographer or not. Not only that, during the actual wedding ceremony/reception you can make a slideshow and share your love story with the guests.

3. Trial for wedding outfit and makeup:
While many opt to do the pre-wedding shoot in an outfit of their choice, it is recommended to get the shoot done in their actual wedding ensembles. This helps to identify the look that you want for the wedding day and also serves as a trial for the makeup. You can make adjustments for wedding festivities depending on the outcome of the photographs and your look.

4. Saves time:
One of the most crucial reasons behind going for pre-wedding shoots, is the time it ends up saving for you on the actual wedding day. Once the ceremony is done, you’d prefer spending time with your friends and family instead of having to pose for the camera. This shoot takes care of that vital detail and captures all the intimate moments that you want to spend with your beloved.

Make sure that your hire the right professional to get your dream pictures clicked!
